The first monument to Pushkin in Odessa and the entire Ukraine was opened in the 19th century in Primorskiy Boulevard.
The second Odessa monument to Pushkin was opened in 1999 in front of the museum dedicated to the poet. Pushkin is shown life-sized without a pedestal. It looks like he has just come out of his hotel and is waiting for the carriage.
Tourists like taking photos with this monument because you can even hug the poet.
The cane that Pushkin holds in his hands is funny because it has been stolen more than once.
The sculptor is A.Tokarev.
