According to the statistics, during the occupation from 1941 through 1944 the Nazis exterminated 272,622 Jews in Odessa and the area, including 23,000 children.
Besides the Holocaust Memorial there is a museum dedicated to this event in Odessa. The admission is free. Being founded in 2009, it is one of the newest Odessa museums. It is located in a courtyard of an apartment and office building in a former apartment. There are many genuine exhibits there.
